The Pine Mountain Fire Department operates on a budget under the Town of Pine Mountain. The town council has been very supportive, more so than many small cities and towns. Still, department members must conduct fundraisers.

Members of the department have spent – and continue to spend – countless hours seeking and applying for grants to help fund the department’s needs.

The department has been very generous, helping raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation and others. The department has also helped local fire victims by purchasing clothing and personal care items to help solve the immediate needs of those who have suffered the loss of their home to a fire.
