At the order of Georgia Governor Sonny Purdue, the historic Liberty
Bell Pool at F.D. Roosevelt has remained closed during the summer,
but some of the campers have still enjoyed water fun.
Periodically during the summer, the Pine Mountain Fire Department
has visited F.D. Roosevelt State Park and used Engine 1202 to
provide fun and refreshment under a cool spray of water.
While it is not the same as jumping into the waters of Liberty Bell
Pool, the visits have provided enjoyment and unique memories for
some of the campers.
This particular visit took place Thursday, July 9.
